Janata Bank, a state-owned commercial bank, has opened its first sub-branch in Kendua Upazila, Netrokona. Recently, the Kendua sub-branch was officially inaugurated by the bank’s Deputy Managing Director, Md. Faiz Alam. Kendua Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Inamul Haque Talukdar was present at the event, according to a press release from Janata Bank.
The press release stated that the opening ceremony of this first sub-branch of Janata Bank was chaired by Farzana Khalek, General Manager of the bank’s Mymensingh Divisional Office. The Managing Director of the bank, Md. Mojibur Rahman, joined the ceremony online as the chief guest. In addition, senior officials from the bank’s divisional and regional offices, local businessmen, dignitaries, and journalists attended the event.
Janata Bank stated that, as one of the largest commercial banks in the country, the opening of its first sub-branch in a remote area further expands the scope of its banking services.
